The reigning champions Multan Sultans is takin on the Karachi Kings in the first match after the opening ceremony at the National Stadium.
The tournament includes 34 matches between six teams, with 15 matches taking place in Karachi and 19 in Lahore.

The competition final will be held in Lahore on February 27.
The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 is split into two parts, with the first taking place in Karachi from January 27 to February 7, and the second in Lahore from February 10 to February 27, with the final on February 27.
In Karachi, the National Stadium is the only venue for PSL 2022 matches, while Gaddafi Stadium will host the same event in Lahore. The Pakistan Super League 2020 was conducted in four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.

In 2021, the Pakistan Cricket Board wants to expand the PSL to even more locations, with Peshawar being the frontrunner. The venue list was whittled down to only two because to Covid-19.
Matches in the PSL 2022 follow a set schedule. If a doubleheader is scheduled, the first game will begin at 2 p.m. and the second will begin at 7 pm.
