Pakistan Navy successfully test-fires surface-to-air missile

According to the Director General Public Relations Navy, Pakistan’s Navy Air Defence Unit successfully tested the firing of a missile from land to air.

 

The Pakistan Navy’s Coastal Command and the Pakistan Marines’ 23rd Air Defence Battalion demonstrated aerial defence drills using Man-Portable Air Defence Systems (MANPADS).

Any attack will be met with the Pakistan Navy’s retaliation. According to the Navy’s media wing, the test conducted demonstrates the Pakistan Navy’s operational capability and readiness.

Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, the Chief of Naval Staff, was also present at the test and expressed satisfaction with the Pakistan Navy’s operational readiness.

Meanwhile, Farrukh Habib, Pakistan’s Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, congratulated the country on the successful test of a surface-to-air missile by the Pakistan Navy. He described the latest missile as a valuable enhancement to Pakistan’s operational capability. Pakistan has the full power to respond to any form of aggressiveness and adventure by the enemy, according to the ruling party minister.
