When the word drone comes to your mind, it mostly creates waves about surveillance and for entertainment purposes. But now time has come to make better use of this technology – its time to get the airborne food delivered to your doorsteps.
Lately, the administration of Islamabad Capital Territory has declared that the capital will soon experience the food delivery service through drones. Capital’s Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat took to the Twitter to break the news.
He said the drone delivery service of food will soon become a reality in the capital in the coming weeks. He went on to say that this innovative service will be launched in Islamabad in partnership with online food and grocery delivery platform – Foodpanda.
The deputy commissioner added that children from Pakistan Sweet Home orphanage will be invited to the inauguration ceremony. The children will be welcomed with food delivered through drones.
Shafqaat said that this service will be officially inaugurated after consulting and active involvement of the Civil Drone Authority and Civil Aviation Authority. The citizens of the federal capital have also lauded the capital’s administration for this innovate step.
