No Load-Shedding During Sehr and Iftar, PM Shehbaz Sharif Orders

According to a Wednesday report from ARY News, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has ordered to provide of a continuous electricity supply during Ramadan, particularly during Sehr and Iftar.

Khurram Dastagir, the minister of power, has directed the power supply firms to provide constant power during Sehar and Iftar time by the PM’s instructions. The minister told the DISCOs that there would be zero-load management for an hour before and after Sehr.

For people to do Tarwaeh prayers, the power providers have also been notified that electricity must be available one hour before Iftar and three hours after Iftar. Additionally, it has been mandated that special teams be formed at the division and sub-division levels by the power providers to manage electricity-related concerns during Ramadan.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, on the other hand, will convene in Peshawar today (Wednesday) to observe the sighting of the crescent for Ramadan 1444 AH. The meeting will be presided over by Moulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. The Ruet body will convene in the Peshawar Auqaf Department building. At their respective offices, the zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committee meetings would also be placed. The Ministry of Religious Affairs building will be the location of the meeting for the Islamabad committee.
