My Running Days Are Over: Rawalpindi Express

There is uproar of comments on Former Cricketer Shoaib Akhatar timeline by his fans “Get well soon”.

Shoaib Akhtar Tweeted and confirmed that he will be undergoing a knee replacement surgery. Former Pakistan pace legend Shoaib Akhtar will soon undergo knee replacement surgery in Australia. He is one of the fastest bowlers of his time, Shoaib was often dogged by injuries. He had a knee reconstruction surgery, a couple of years ago, and now, he is going to undergo another surgery once again.

“My running days are over as am leaving for total knee replacement in Australia Melbourne very soon,” the 46-year-old tweeted. The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ also posted the same on his Instagram account.

Shoaib Akhtar, who is considered the world’s fastest bowler of all time and used to be call as ‘Rawalpindi Express’, retired from cricket in 2011. He is hosting and commenting on various cricket events on electronic media and as well as on YouTube. 46 tests matches and 163 ODIs played by him for Pakistan in which he scalped 178 and 247 wickets respectively. He also took 19 T20I wickets in 15 appearances.

Shoaib Akhtar played his last in One day international match against New Zealand in 2011, in which he bagged one wicket. Akhtar holds the record for bowling the fastest ball at 161.3 kph.
