In shocking incident it was discovered during a JIT investigation that a man Noor Zaman, who was reported missing in 2017 turned out to be a murderer himself. Remains of one of the persons he killed was found on indication of his wife.
Noor Zaman who is amongst missing persons was himself involved in a double murder according to his wife. On her pointing out police recovered one of the remains of a person killed by him.
Zaman’s abduction case was registered by Zaman’s third wife Kulsoom in Zaman Town police station in 2017.
The JIT during investigation came across another lady namely Maryam. She was Noor Zaman’s second wife. Upon interrogation it was revealed that Noor Zaman was involved in killing 2 of her kids, who were from her previous husband. Maryam had 4 children from her first husband when she married Zaman.
It was reported by Maryam that Zaman was involved in sexually abusing one of her daughters from her previous marriage. When her son, Kamran, 18, got to know they broke into a fight which ended in Zaman killing both, her daughter and son.
After killing them he buried them in the same house which was located near Orangi Town, Khairabad. It was reported that the house belonged to his wife herself. Maryam said that he used to threaten to kill remaining of her children if she tells anyone, which is why she kept silent.
A case was registered in December 2021 at Manghopir police station after the JIT had approached her.
On her pointing out, the police have recovered the body of her son Kamran from her house. SSP Investigation Arif Aslam Rao says the bodies were buried in 2016.
Police says that the woman had revealed that that Zaman killed 2 children, but they only found one, the boy’s remains. Police officials said that Zaman is from Afghanistan and associated with a banned organization.
