Lala Darbar to open in Dubai

Shahid Afridi has been seen with a bat and ball, but an apron wasn’t anticipated. The cricketer’s latest project is his own restaurant – Lala Darbar in Dubai.

He posted a video of himself slicing tomatoes and demonstrating some of his culinary talents while wearing a chef’s jacket. The cricketer is opening a restaurant in Dubai that will serve desi cuisine to Dubai residents.

Afridi, who is presently playing for the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League, tweeted the news, writing, “one step closer to the big announcement.” He stated that he will be providing more information in the near future.

“Get ready to give your taste buds a mouthwatering triple tarka,” Afridi wrote in his post along with hashtags of his restaurant’s name, Lala Darbar.

The business page says that it is an “authentic desi restaurant chain” by the cricketer. Further details such as the location or menu haven’t been announced yet.

Of course, a restaurant owned by an athlete will have a touch of the athlete’s passion for cricket, as evidenced by his business’s emblem. His famous victory posture made it onto the restaurant’s flag, but the menu, the names of the dishes, and whether or not they will be named after him, is always the most exciting aspect. Will there be a Lala karhai served with Boom Boom naan?

Afridi also has a skincare line, Ooh Lala, that is touted as a high-end line with high-quality personal care items. He also runs the Hope Not Out clothing line, which sells men’s and women’s leisurewear.
