Karachi Board Delays Matric Marksheets

Students who passed their matriculation exams in Karachi are currently experiencing major challenges due to delays in the issuance of their mark sheets.

Sources suggest that this issue has arisen due to the lack of interest from the Sindh government and negligence on the part of the relevant boards and university departments. It’s crucial to emphasize that despite the release of the overall group results on August 25 and the science results on September 28, around 190,000 students from the science group and 37,000 from the general group are still anxiously awaiting their scorecards, even after two months. However, the Department of Boards is investigating allegations that there may have been modifications to the matric science roll numbers.

Additionally, sources from the board state that the investigation’s delay is the reason behind the halt in the production of the mark sheets. In contrast, the section officer addressed the director of anti-corruption in a letter regarding the matriculation board’s suspected corruption. The director was instructed to investigate any financial irregularities in the matriculation board and to provide a report on the matter as soon as possible. Dr. Saeeduddin was previously removed from his role as the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education in Karachi. Naseem Memon, who serves as the chairman of the Larkana Education Board, has been selected to hold this position for a two-year term, taking over from Dr. Saeeduddin, who was relieved of his duties while examinations were ongoing.
