Kapil Sharma Show actor, Teerthanand Rao attempts suicide owing to COVID related financial crunch

Many artists have been battling with poverty for the past two years as a result of Corona. While some artists used social media to appeal for financial assistance, others took their own lives. Teerthanand Rao attempted suicide due to financial difficulties.

According to a ‘Aaj Tak’ article, Teerthanand Rao, who is also known as Nana Patekar’s lookalike has been in the entertainment sector for 15 years. On December 27, he attempted suicide by ingesting poison.

Fortunately, neighbours learned about the incident and rushed Teerthanand to the hospital. Teerthananda is no longer in danger, and physicians were able to preserve his life after a valiant attempt.

Teerthanand told a news outlet that he is deeply in debt and that his family has abandoned him. As a result, he had lost all desire to live. Teerthanand said that his wife had remarried and that his daughter had married as well. He also claimed that his mother and brother live in the same building as him, but that they do not pay him any visits.

Further, despite his return from the hospital, he told the media that he is staying alone and that things couldn’t get any worse.

When asked about his relationship with Kapil Sharma, he told the broadcaster that during his dispute with Sunil Grover, Kapil had approached him for job. Teerthanand, however, was unable to accept the offer because he was currently working on a Gujarati film.

Teerthanand is expected to ask Kapil for work after his rehabilitation, according to sources.
