Junaid Safdar, the son of PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz, had his valima ceremony in Lahore yesterday.
The ceremony took place at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra home.
In August, Junaid Safdar married Ayesha Saif, the daughter of Nawaz Sharif’s close adviser Saifur Rahmen, in a posh London hotel.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other UK-based family members attended the nikkah ceremony, although Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Safdar were unable to attend due to travel restrictions.
The family later stated that a valima will be held on December 17 in Lahore.
The media focused on Junaid Safdar’s week-long wedding celebrations in Lahore and Islamabad, while social media was swamped with photos and videos of PML-N Maryam Nawaz, who remained the center of attention throughout.
