Farmers said we were expecting bumper crops this time around but the hailstorm has dashed our hopes. Both wheat and mustard crops have been severely damaged. It was the first time hail had fallen across the district. The torrential hailstorm and rains had severely damaged the standing crops.
Many farmers in Chiniot and NoorPur are affected by this weather change. Losses to wheat and mustard have been reported up to 25 percent.
