Google launches Competitor of ChatGPT Called Brad

The increasingly well-liked ChatGPT application has a competition that Google announced under the name Bard: new artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

By employing AI technology to acquire incredibly thorough answers to their queries, Bard enables users to “simplify complicated concepts.” According to Google’s blog post, a user may ask Bard to instruct a 9-year-old on the findings of a NASA telescope, for instance.

Following the announcement by rival Microsoft that it will invest billions of dollars in OpenAI’s ChatGPT tool, Bard has now been made available. In the upcoming weeks, the public will be able to use the tool “more widely,” according to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who announced it in a blog post.

The feature will first be made available to a select group of “trusted testers.” In addition to Bard, which is supported by Google’s Language Model for Dialogue Applications, or LaMDA, the tech giant is aiming to roll out more AI-powered capabilities across its search function.

The blog post illustrated artificial intelligence (AI)-powered response to a user’s inquiry that was displayed in a blurb before the search results that included links to other websites. Other than to state that it will happen “soon,” Google provided no specific timeframe for when consumers might anticipate seeing those improvements.

When ChatGPT reached its peak on January 31, according to data released by SimilarWeb, it had 28 million visits from 15.7 million unique visitors. Google’s deployment comes in response to this spike in popularity. Since the site became live for the general public at the end of November, the statistics indicate a pretty constant increase in daily visits.

Along with its popularity boom, ChatGPT has come under some scrutiny and raised some concerns, particularly from educators and schools who are concerned about how pupils might utilize the program. Due to worries about cheating or a poor effect on learning, some schools have prohibited ChatGPT use on their devices and networks.
