According to District Police Officer Najam Hasnain Liaquat, the teachers who are currently in police custody confessed to the crime.
The incident occurred on Anjumabad’s Dera-Multan Road, and authorities have initiated an inquiry to discover the circumstances behind the murder.
The women arrived at the Jamia Islamia Falahul Binaat, Multan Road, within the Cantt Police Station at 7 am, identified as Razia Hanfi, 21, and Ayesha Nomani, 17, both daughters of Allah Noor, and Umra Aman, 24, daughter of Din Badshah.
The three suspects are all Mehsud tribal members who live in Anjumabad.
When Safoora Bibi, a 21-year-old teacher from Tiarza in South Waziristan, arrived in a rickshaw from her home, she was murdered by the three girls.
A large detachment of police led by City Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police Saghir Gilani raced to the spot as soon as the incident was reported and transferred the body to Civil Hospital for a postmortem.
DPO Liaquat confirmed the arrests, saying they had a knife and a stick in their possession.
The police are also attempting to acquire access to the mobile phones and other evidence relevant to the murder, according to him. According to Liaquat, a dispute had been raging in the area between two women’s seminaries.
