Al-Nassr released a Saudi National Day film featuring traditional dances, swords, and clothing, and Cristiano Ronaldo once again steals the show.
As the club released a joyful video early on a Friday morning to celebrate the occasion, Nassr fans were thrilled to see their heroes join in the holiday spirit in the Kingdom. The nation’s birthday, which falls on a weekend this year and is commemorated on September 23, is a national holiday. Some of the best players on the planet have worn the fabled yellow shirt in the past year, and the film blends snippets of the club’s past achievements and history with its forward-looking resurgence.

In the opening scenes of the movie, a group of kids breaks into the club’s offices in Tuwaiq, capturing the first-team players as they prepare for National Day celebrations. The two-and-a-half-minute video shows goalkeeper Nawaf Alaqidi and winger Abdulrahman Ghareeb setting up the drums for the celebration. Otávio gets a haircut in preparation for the game, and the Portuguese midfielder enjoys Arabic coffee with goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah. The video also features Brazilian attacking midfielder Talisca, who has blonde hair, getting measured for a new white thobe by head coach Luis Castro.
The sound of drums fills the air as Senegalese marksman Sadio Mané carries a blade on his shoulder. Alongside colleagues Abdullah Alkhaibari, Marcelo Brozovic, and Sultan Al-Ghanam, Ronaldo takes the stage in the video, where they dance the Ardah. Ronaldo, a highly recognizable figure in the world of sports, made his debut in the Kingdom last year, igniting an influx of several prominent European championship players into the Saudi Pro League during the summer. The sports authorities in Saudi Arabia are committed to elevating the SPL into one of the premier leagues globally and have made substantial investments to achieve this ambition.
