Cracking Down on Crime: Authorities Bust ‘Lady Gang’ Involved in Metro Bus Service Thefts

Rawalpindi police announced the apprehension of a female gang accused of theft on the metro bus service, as reported by ARY News.

According to SP Rawal, the group of female thieves was successfully dismantled, and they admitted to their involvement during the investigation. Police revealed that the gang had been targeting passengers on the Rawalpindi metro bus service, stealing their belongings, prompting the intervention following numerous complaints.

Members of the ‘lady gang’ were found in possession of two mobile phones and Rs. 450,000, which were recovered. In a similar incident in March, a gang of armed robbers known as the ‘Rickshaw Gang’ was apprehended in Karachi for using rickshaws to carry out robberies. This group had committed a robbery in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi, making away with mobile phones and cash totaling Rs. 15 million.
