Daughter of Lt-Col Asif Ali Awan, one of six Pakistani army men killed in a helicopter crash in Congo on Friday, decorated the house to receive the dead body of her martyred father.

Her daughter performed a phenomenal and emotional move by decorating the entire street to greet her Shaheed Father.
On social media, a video was released showing the roadway being adorned with red roses and flowers in remembrance of their father. In the footage, the daughters can be seen crying.
His funeral prayers were offered in K.H. Khurshid mini stadium.
Thousands of people from all walks of life flocked to the Khurshid mini stadium, including AJK Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, AJK Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar, PPP lawmakers Raja Faisal Rathore and Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, as well as high-ranking civil and military officers.
On the occasion, Mr. Ahmed and other speakers paid glowing tribute to Mr. Awan and his colleagues, stating that their sacrifice was just another example of the Pakistan Army’s professionalism and devotion to peacekeeping.
