‘Our parents, friends were skeptical of us starting this channel,’ Food Fusion couple recalls their journey to become First Pakistani cooking channel to reach one billion views

Everything is now available everywhere since the world has become a global village. This primarily applies to food and clothes, as these are the primary focuses of capitalism.

Food Fusion has offered the most inventive ideas for preparing Italian, Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, and, of course, South Asian dishes through its study on unusual recipes.

The channel began a few years ago and has successfully ascended to the top. The rapid expansion can be attributed to two factors.

On May 9, 2016, Asad Memon, an IoBM alumnus (BCS 2004, MBA 2008), and his wife, Saima, launched their YouTube channel FoodFusion. FoodFusion has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, making it the first Pakistani food channel to do so.

The channel’s scrumptious recipes have attracted viewers from all over the world, and the brand has become synonymous with Pakistani women and men who like cooking. Asad was the President of Club IT, a student group at IoBM, when he was a student. He also represented IoBM at the national level, winning two national prizes in the GIKI and FAST Computer Science contests. Asad is a credit to IoBM and Pakistan.

Food Fusion, according to sources, has managed to appeal to people of all ages and genders, including young adults, and is disrupting the food content industry with its rapid and time-saving recipes. Food Fusion is becoming increasingly popular not only on YouTube, but also on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

Food Fusion has over 5.5 million Facebook fans, 1.5 million Instagram fans, and 1.1 million TikTok fans, in addition to 3 billion views on YouTube.

Those who are familiar with the fundamentals of cooking can quickly grasp the art of experimenting with different cuisines. This channel has been, and continues to be, the best resource for pretty much anything you want to crave about.

So many food and lifestyle YouTube channels never grow at this rate because there is either too much talk or a recipe that isn’t well demonstrated.

 Furthermore, no one wants to sit through 30-minute to one-hour for videos of a recipe that can be made in less time.

Food Fusion piqued viewers’ interest by producing short but powerful recipes movies, each lasting only a few minutes. People were able to learn recipes and be entertained at the same time. And it’s natural for people to come back if they aren’t bored.

With their intelligent and persistent content creation, a couple who abandoned their full-time jobs to make cooking videos established an example for aspiring content creators to flourish in the digital world.
