The social media team of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Gujranwala ordered a cake to celebrate the birthday of their party leader, Nawaz Sharif.
However, the cake went missing, leading the team to accuse their own candidate of theft. A formal complaint was lodged at the Satellite Town police station in Gujranwala, stating that when the team arrived to collect the cake, they were informed that Umer Farooq Dar, the party’s electoral candidate from pp-64, had allegedly taken the cake by force.
Although Dar later returned the cake to the bakery after the police complaint, the team insisted that it was a deliberate act and called for a further investigation into the matter.
