Shae Gill pairs-up with Atif Aslam in new track ‘Manzil’ dedicated to COVID affectees

Following the success of her first song Pasoori, Shae Gill returns with an enthralling and mesmerising track with Atif Aslam as both remember days of extreme COVID waves.

The much awaited Covid-themed collaboration between Atif Aslam and Shae Gill is now here.

YouTube premiered Manzil, a song devoted to the Covid endeavour as well as ongoing preventive efforts. The song was made in partnership with the US embassy, and the video features Sarwat Gilani.

With Aslam’s soul-stirring vocals and Gill’s calming voice, the song is an uplifting message of hope and resilience. Sarmad Khoosat directed the video, and Gilani said on Instagram, A lovely reminder to stay safe, healthy, and energised.

To remind us what our manzil is, [US embassy] and [Khoosat Films] partner with superstar Atif Aslam and our newest sensation Shae Gill.

Author Mohammed Hanif, best known for his books A Case of Exploding Mangoes and Our Lady of Alice Bhatti, wrote the song’s lyrics.

The caption accompanying the teaser read, “The US Embassy Islamabad worked with Pakistani Cannes-nominated film director Sarmad Khoosat to make a new song advocating Covid-19 immunizations and booster doses.” “Mohammad Hanif wrote the lyrics for Manzil, and Shamsher Rana, Varqa Faraid, Nimra Gilani, and Ali Hamdani produced and composed the song. Atif Aslam, an internationally recognised vocalist, and Shae Gill, a Coke Studio sensation, supplied vocals.”
