‘Transgender’ athletes should not compete in female sports: PMUK

According to Boris Johnson, “biological men should not compete in feminine sporting events.” This came after the sport’s regulatory authority deemed transgender cyclist Emily Bridges ineligible to compete in a women’s race last week.

The prime minister revealed his opinion to journalists on Wednesday while visiting hospital, stated, “It just seems to me very sensible.”

“I also believe that facilities should dedicated to women, whether in hospitals, jails, locker rooms, or anywhere else,” he continued.

It doesn’t mean that I am not sympathetic to people who want to change gender or transition, and it is critical that we provide them with as much love and support as possible in making those decisions.

Mr. Johnson’s remarks came after it was reported that plans for a historic worldwide LGBT conference in the UK this summer had been canceled after more than 100 organisations withdrew in response to modifications to proposals to outlaw conversion therapy.

The prime minister’s comments on sport come after transgender cyclist Emily Bridges was ruled ineligible to compete in a women’s event last week by the sport’s governing body.
