ISLAMABAD: The alleged clip showing PMLN leader and former governor Sindh Zubair Umar getting intimate with an unidentified woman was edited just for blurring the woman’s face while no editing features were found in the face overlapping, a report of a private forensic agency revealed.
As the opposition leader kept his silence on the dilemma after saying the clip doctored, Asad Ullah Khan, a journalist and a host took a step forward and approached Forensic Analysis Consultants and Training Institute, a Lahore-based private science agency, for audio and video examination of the alleged clip.
Khan, who was expecting the face overlapping, got shocked as it came out contrary to the claims. Some of the short clips were merged together to form a 2-minute 50-sec video while the report stated that there was no overlapping of faces, it stated while adding that blur effect was added to the clip to hide the face of the woman.
The report cited “After complete forensic examination, it is concluded that the video evidence received is prepared on Audio-Video mixing tool as different events have been merged and audio has been mixed to create a documentary”.
It further added “the video frames of each event are thoroughly analyzed which are found in sequence and no overlapping of video frames was observed which evident the authenticity of each event. To conceal the faces blur effect has been added on female faces in video frames of each event”.
Earlier, Vice President of PML-N and daughter of ousted PM, Maryam Nawaz termed the event a ‘personal matter’ adding that he would continue as her spokesperson.
Lamenting at the situation, she said such private clips should not have surfaced. “Those behind this act thought that Zubair would be removed from the post of spokesman after the video surfaced are wrong as he will continue to serve as Nawaz Sharif and my spokesperson”, she clarified.
