ISLAMABAD: Indian controversial journalist Arnab Goswami got ridiculed after he falsely alleged Pakistan Army’s involvement at Kabul’s Serena Hotel.
It all started on September 15, when the firebrand host in his program The Debate claims about the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) official’s presence at the fifth floor of the hotel and he got lampooned when it was revealed that the accommodation facility is a two-story building and it is also currently trending on the microblogging platform.
The war-mongering journalist, who is also referred to as the puppet of the Hindu extremists and Modi led Indian ruling party, spewed the hoax in another failed attempt to malign the image of the Pakistan Army saying they stayed there in a bid to support the Taliban in their fight against Northern Alliance forces in Afghanistan’s now fallen Panjshir valley.

The Indian host, famed for his cacophonic and partisan coverage, had invited a defense analyst other than Pakistan’s Abdul Samad Yaqoob who represents the country’s ruling party in a discussion which was titled as ‘Taliban Split’ within the new afghan setup, who captured Kabul by ousting the western-backed government.
Goswami claimed that the Taliban are still fighting National Resistance Front fighters and Pakistan’s security and intelligence personnel are there to support the insurgents.
“You go and check today on the fifth floor of the Serena Hotel, I am telling you, please check, the fifth floor of the Serena Hotel in Kabul, how many Pakistani army officers are there?”, he said while citing his phony sources.
Goswami didn’t end there and he even claimed to disclose the room numbers of the hotel in which Pak spies are residing and operating the whole operations. “I can also tell you what they ordered for dinner so don’t question my intelligence sources, we’ve got all our aerial surveillance on you people”, he can be heard saying the viral clip.
Later, the PTI spokesperson returned to the show and responded to the claims quoting his sources that the hotel has only two floors and there’s no third, fourth and obviously the fifth which Goswami mentioned earlier.
Soon after the clip went viral, netizens took to Twitter to roast the Republic TV host with rib-tickling memes. Check some of the reactions here:

This isn’t the first gaffe of Indians following the end of Ashraf Ghani regime in the war-torn country, as Indian media a former general of the Indian army got ridiculed on microblogging platform as he referred to Pakistani superstar Shaan Shahid and rockstar Umair Jaswal as martyred Pakistani Army troops who lost their lives during fighting against Northern Alliance in now fallen Afghanistan’s Panjshir valley.
