25 transgender gurus join Bilawal

There are several countries in the world that safeguard the rights of transgender people but the situation in Pakistan is very grim.

But now the situation is taking a shift as at least 25 leaders of the transgender group has declared joining Pakistan People’s Party. They showed their support for Bhutto family’s descendant – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

They announced this decision in a press conference along with the senior PPP leadership, including Saeed Ghani and Nisar Khuhro in Karachi. Khuhro said that the PPP always wants to take every segment of the society onboard in an honourable manner and the party also wants to give equal opportunity to everyone to excel.

Speaking on the occasion, transgender leader Bindiya Rana said her community wishes to see Bilawal Bhutto as the next premier.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Transgender Act 2018 clearly bans any discrimination against transgender people by employers, educational institutions, companies, healthcare service providers, any private business and public transport people.
