KARACHI: Criminals in the country’s financial capital, after depriving Karachiites of their valuables at gunpoint, started looting citizens with hypnosis methods.
In recent events, a man and a woman have been captured in CCTV cam for allegedly hypnotizing and looting cash from a store cashier on a busy day while the face of the man is captured whereas the woman donned a face mask as per the Covid related restrictions.
In the CCTV clip, a man can be seen entering a store as he staged the act of buying some items. He then took them to the counter to check out and as soon as one of the two staffers started scanning the items for billing, the woman started doing the surveillance to avoid facing store security.
The prime suspect, who can be seen wearing a purple checked shirt quickly, approached the cash counter while the two of the staffers allowed them to pick a cash bundle which he picked and started counting in a rough manner.
As soon as the prime suspect picked the stack, the woman engaged the helper by asking some questions, and the man took half of the cash and put it in the side pocket before the staffer figured out of being duped.
As soon as he got the money with little tricks, he left the counter and takes a stroll to the exit point while in the footage from outside of the store, the two can be seen running to escape.
This isn’t the first of its kind of hypnotizing act in Sindh capital as earlier two Iranian citizens were arrested for looting shop keepers. They looted scores of people while only eight people approached cops.
The 61-year-old man confessed to looting people with tricks while saying that his daughter-in-law has fled back to Iran with the stolen cash. Law enforcers found around Rs150,000 from their possession.
