The $5 Billion Moon-themed luxury resort in Dubai

Space tourism companies think that one day everyone will choose to take extraordinary vacations, whether it involves a trip into suborbital space or a stay in a hotel among the stars.

Staff members at Moon World Resorts sort of agree. They intend to construct several enormous hotels in the shape of domes that sit here on Earth and resemble the moon specifically in Dubai. Each sphere will be a huge 360-degree replica of the moon, complete with realistic-looking craters and textures. Depending on the location and planning approvals, each reconstructed moon might stand 735 feet (224 meters) tall with a 2,042-foot circle.

According to Canadian entrepreneur and co-founder of Moon World Resorts Michael R. Henderson, the moon is a “recognizable brand,” and this is the key to the idea. Everyone loves it and there are 7.5 billion people who are aware of it, he claims. Every Moon World Resort, in Henderson’s words, “would be a luxurious and contemporary, fully integrated destination resort, with a lot of components within that one would already recognize,” such as a convention center, restaurants, and spa, each with a lunar twist. They will also be “extremely luxurious and contemporary, fully integrated destination resorts.” According to artist models, the attraction’s centerpiece will be an experience that simulates walking on the moon, as well as spaceship-style interiors and themed entertainment.

Henderson promises that you will be able to walk on what appears to be the lunar surface during your lifetime. Henderson, who previously owned a medical services company, claims that the development of Moon World Resorts has been ongoing for 20 years, which is a timeline that he believes is consistent with the more leisurely pace of space travel in general. Henderson acknowledges that the project has “tremendous technical obstacles,” but he and co-founder Sandra G. Matthews are collaborating with independent engineers and architects to bring the idea to life. He stated that basically, they have a large number of groups that they can call upon as needed from all around the world. However, once construction on the project begins, they will undoubtedly be situated in a certain area.

The long-term objective is to construct four Moon resorts, one in each of North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa, as well as Asia. Since Moon World Resorts is a licensing business, Henderson plans to sell licenses to licensees who have plenty of money to spend at each Moon World Resort. The company has selected Dubai in particular as a “lead runner” for the opening of the first Moon World resort in the United Arab Emirates. According to Henderson, this is because UAE is “very popular for tourists” and “home to a lot of infrastructures” initiatives. Henderson, who is withholding further information, for the time being, does add that “other ideas are coming to the fore.”
