ISLAMABAD: Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel on Thursday received the Pride of Performance award for his services to the nation on Pakistan Day.
President Dr. Arif Alvi during a ceremony at Aiwan-i-Sadr in the federal capital conferred the 67-year-old with other 88 Pakistani and foreign nationals.

Jameel, who is a great influencer and known for his heart-warming talks, was earlier named among the 500 Most Influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Jordan.
The Tableeghi Jamat scholar, who hailed from Khanewal, has been an inspiration to many, including multiple showbiz personalities and first-class cricketers.
Tariq Jameel is widely respected among all sects and he also enjoys a huge following on social media handles. The official Youtube channel of the Deobandi scholar, which has nearly 5 million subscribers, became the first Islamic channel in the south Asian country to receive the Golden Play Button.
