Major glitch in PUBG Pakistan as gamers report server problems

LAHORE: Pakistani users of Player’s Unknown Battleground PUBG MOBILE are facing severe problems including network outages in the online multiplayer battle royale game.

PUBG Pakistan is also facing the wrath of the desi gamer as scores of people took to social media to report about the glitches in the game.

Following the outcry from Pakistani gamers, the official support of PUBG Pakistan also shared an update stating that the game has been plagued with server issues and authentication errors.

On July 27, the Twitter handle of an online game that goes by the name of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Support shared a tweet that stated “We’ll be releasing an update in 24 hours to optimize some backend systems and deploy minor bug fixes and No server downtime will be required”.

With no improvement in server issues, it shared another tweet on August 04 that stated that “Live servers will enter maintenance for 8 hours”.

Meanwhile, the issue remains unresolved as a number of players are still facing glitches despite the maintenance fix and it is uncertain how long it will take to sort it out.

Let it be known that this isn’t the first time that PUBG is facing connectivity and performance issues in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the PUBG Mobile Esports team, in another action against hackers and cheaters, disqualified a total of 15 teams from the ongoing PUBG Mobile Campus Championship Pakistan 2021.

Last year, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority had banned the online game citing several complaints about it being ‘addictive’, and a waste of time for youth and children who glued to mobile phones for hours. Such behavior can have its potential negative impact on children’s physical and psychological health, it said.
