According to the official Facebook page of Honda Pakistan, the 2022 Civic sedan can be booked against PKR 1.2 million.
Honda has also revealed the tentative prices of new Civic variants, according to which the base variant will be priced at PKR 50.99 lac, the Oriel will be PKR 53.99 lac whereas the flagship RS variant will cost PKR 61.49 lac.
According to the announcement, the new Civic will come in three different styles. All variants have a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 180 horsepower and 240 Newton-meters of torque and is mated to a CVT automatic transmission.
These prices make the all-new Civic the second most expensive car that is made in Pakistan and sold there (the first one is the Hyundai Sonata).
People who buy the Honda Civic at the new prices are now in the small crossover SUV range. But it’s worth noting that crossover SUVs have more utility and practicality than a small sedan, so they’re worth noting. Besides that, because people are becoming more value-conscious, crossover SUVs are a huge hit.
It’ll be interesting to see how the new Civic compares to rivals who promise better value for the same price, or the same value for a lower price, as the Corolla and Elantra do.
