Balochistan Awami Party Adopts ‘Human Eye’ as Official Polling Symbol

The one eye The Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has chosen to change its electoral symbol to a representation of the “human eye,” which is an intriguing and very out-of-the-ordinary decision.

Given the importance and gravity of the shift, it is significant that this choice was made at a consultative meeting organized by the party and presided over by none other than Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani. Members of the party discussed a variety of party-related issues as well as the impending elections at the meeting.

Several prominent BAP members, including the Parliamentary Leader Khalid Magsi, the Minister of State Ehsan Riki, Senator Naseebullah Bazai, Senior Minister Noor Muhammad Damar, and others, were present. After reaching an agreement, the BAP delegation took decisive action by scheduling a meeting with members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). With their choice in mind, they wanted to formally request the new symbol, the “human eye,” for use. It remains to be seen how the public will react to this symbolic move and how it will affect the BAP’s chances of winning elections.

It is important to note that the BAP had previously run for office with the image of a cow, making this change all the more noticeable. Before the July 2018 general election, the party was founded, with a significant emphasis on tackling the urgent problems and difficulties unique to the Balochistan region. Politicians, as well as members of the general public, are all curious about the choice to use the “human eye” as the new election symbol. In politics, symbolism frequently plays a key role in communicating messages, ideals, and objectives.

The “human eye” was chosen as the BAP’s symbol, which raises questions about the symbol’s intended meaning and the party’s approach to voter outreach. As the political landscape changes, parties are constantly looking for novel ways to express their positions and win supporters.

The BAP hopes to stand out from other political parties and capture the interest and imagination of Balochistan voters by using such a distinctive symbol. Whether this decision turns out to be a brilliant strategic move or a risk that leads to uncertain results in future elections, only time will tell.
