LAHORE – Pakistan all-format captain Babar Azam’s superlative form helped him overtaking Aaron Finch and getting the second position in the ICC men’s T20I player rankings released today
Pakistan’s skipper, who dethroned Kohli at the top of the men’s ODI player rankings last week, sees him make a strong 47-point surge after scoring 122 in the third match against Proteas.

Azam managed to get the second spot with 844 points while England’s Dawid Malan tops the list with 892 points.
The Pakistani skipper ended the South Africa series with an average of 52.50 in four innings – being the highest run-scorer. During the series, he also scored his maiden T20I century.

Meanwhile, Babar, who failed to perform against Chevrons today, still got the opportunity to overtake England’s Malan in the T20 rankings. If he managed to get the top spot, it would be the second time that he would sit on top of the table.
