The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched the Pak ID mobile application, allowing individuals to obtain their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) online.
The initiative aims to streamline the process, eliminating the need for citizens to endure long queues at the centers. With the modern facilities offered through the app, applicants can complete the entire procedure conveniently. Furthermore, after completing the process via the app, individuals can expect the delivery of their ID documents to their doorstep. The NADRA Pak ID mobile app simplifies tasks such as photo uploads, fingerprint verification, and online payments.
A spokesperson from NADRA emphasized that this digital platform now enables the online issuance of CNICs, FRCs, and even CNICs for overseas Pakistanis. In December, NADRA revised the charges for renewing smart ID cards, which are national identity cards featuring an embedded chip for information logging. This smart card enhances identity security by incorporating an extra layer of biometric verification, safeguarding crucial personal records. The following outlines the updated fees for NADRA smart ID cards and related services.
