Naimat Khan, a journalist employed by Arab News, highlighted the widespread dissemination of inaccurate information by the Indian media.

Indian news platforms have been disseminating reports claiming that Maulana Qaiser Farooq was assassinated in a targeted attack in Karachi, asserting that he held a significant role within Lashkar-e-Taiba and was closely affiliated with Hafiz Saeed.

However, Khan conducted a thorough fact-check and rectified these reports by asserting that Maulana Qaiser Farooq, who was killed by unidentified assailants in Karachi, had ties to Gulshan-e-Umar, a subdivision of Binori Town, a prominent Deobandi seminary in Karachi. He emphasized that this institution had no association with Hafiz Saeed.
