Islamabad Police Utilizes Safe City Cameras to Crack Down on Bunking Students

According to a tweet from the official Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police page on X (formerly Twitter), the Safe City Command and Control Centre has formally launched the “Go to school” campaign to ensure the welfare and education of Islamabad’s young.

This project is part of continuous efforts to prioritize the education and safety of Islamabad’s children. The use of Safe City surveillance cameras was the first significant measure taken by the campaign. While lingering in popular entertainment areas, markets, and different neighborhoods within the city, over 20 children who were reported absent from their educational institutions were recognized.

These juveniles were quickly taken to nearby police stations as they were under close surveillance. Ensuring their security and well-being, they were reunited with their parents there. The Islamabad Capital Police, under the direction of CPO Safe City/Traffic, reaffirmed their dedication to the country’s future, emphasizing that its most significant resource is its students. The fact that they are running this ad shows their commitment to providing every child with the opportunity for a successful future.
