The staff of the circus has successfully recaptured four circus lions that broke free from their cage in Sheikhupura, according to ARY News.
Apparently, night in Sheikhupura’s Mela Pir Bahadur Shah neighborhood, severe winds caused the cage in which four lions were kept to break, allowing the animals to flee the circus. They were all eventually taken back by the circus employees, so their independence was only momentary.
When the lions made their escape and entered the residential neighborhood, there was widespread panic. They spent an hour running amok in the streets and breaking into surrounding homes. The lions were apprehended by police and rescue teams when they arrived. No one was hurt in the incident, according to police officials.
A separate incident took place on April 2023 in which two lions can be seen charging toward a guy who is in their territory in one such video that has been making the rounds on the internet. The lions charged after the man as he rushed away in fear, and one of them leaped over him to grab hold of his legs tightly. Fortunately, another man arrived just in time to save him from the ferocious lions.
