The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finance department has discovered that male candidates were appointed in the Mardan health department in place of female openings.
In this extremely bizarre instance, male candidates were appointed to District Health Office positions designated for females (DHO). The DHO’s male employees were withholding the pay of 41 individuals in violation of the code governing female health workers, according to the finance department.
After realizing the deception, the finance department stopped paying these bogus appointees’ salaries. The health department reportedly hired 200 more employees in 2022, citing documents. Every open position was filled. Strangely, the DHO appointed 41 men to positions meant for women. These male appointees received pay for nine months by the code for female health employees.
In a similar event in July 2022, police officers decided to devise a “unique solution” to make up for the absence of a female police constable to take a photo of a woman who had been arrested. To stand by the lady detained in the case for selling narcotics and weapons, a police officer decided to dress in the uniform of a female constable. The event took place in the Gujrat city’s Daulat Nagar Police Station. According to the Police Act, a female police officer must be present when arresting a woman. The station house officer (SHO) was fired after a photo of a police officer posing with a lady and other police officers and dressing as a woman went viral on social media. The district policeman gave the deputy superintendent of police instructions to complete the investigation in 24 hours.
