Senator Muzafar Shah’s rejection of votes in Gillani Vs Sanjrani was mala fide beyond any doubt. And so was the case of Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri’s ruling to reject No Confidence Resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Our learned democrat brethren rightly ruined any argument in the defense of these acts of disingenuity. Any person propagating anything remotely close to defending these arguments was branded as plainly stupid, opportunist, dishonest, and non-democrat.
Punjab Deputy Speaker Dost Mazari’s ruling on Chief Minister Punjab’s election is equally disingenuous. But our learned democrats’ brethren are defending it like no other.
With no burden on their chests, they call this wrong a right because others have wronged, too.
Instead of deriving letter of the law from political values and traditions, they are making the letter of law a tradition.
How should they be branded now?
