PTA Imposes Rs 30 Million fine on Jazz for poor network quality

Jazz has been fined Rs. 30 million by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for poor service quality in more than a half-dozen cities across Pakistan.

Jazz was fined after failing to meet the Quality of Services Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in seven cities, according to the PTA.

In addition to the penalties, Jazz was warned to enhance the quality of licenced services in order to reach or exceed the goal value of QoS parameters as set forth in the licence standards and QoS Regulations.

If the licensee fails to comply, legal action will be taken against it according to the law.

It’s worth noting that the judgement was reached by a panel led by Chairman PTA Maj. Gen. Amir Azeem Bajwa (R).

It’s important to note that in December 2020, PTA did a QoS survey, and Jazz was found to fall short of the minimum standards set for quality of service.

The operator was advised of the shortage and given a month to correct the problem.

Jazz, on the other hand, did not follow the directions and was unable to improve its network in at least seven locations.

Citizens are also protesting about Jazz’s poor service and fraud, as evidenced by the fact that it’s trending on Twitter, with consumers stating that the company normally operates and activate different services without their authorization and loots money using bogus and deceptive tactics.Even a Notification has been issued to Jazz about this Problem.

Twitter user are expressing their anger on unprofessional behaviour of Jazz.
