In a TikTok video, Uziel Martnez from Baja California, Mexico, stated he gave his kidney to save his girlfriend’s mother’s life. The girlfriend dumped him a month after the operation and married someone else, according to Uziel.
“I donated a kidney to her mother, she left me and got married a month later,” he said.
The video was made in response to a trend in which men recounted their worst experiences with exes.
The video has received more than 14 million views and has made national news in Mexico. Netizens flocked to Uziel’s defence, with one writing, “don’t be too depressed; she’s lost a wonderful gentleman. Continue to go forward in your search for the ideal woman who values you.”
Uziel stated that the breakup was ended once the video went public.
He said in another video, “Actually, I’m fine, both physically and mentally, and I believe she is as well. I don’t have anything against her; we get along well.” He went on to say that while they aren’t friends and they don’t dislike each other.
When told not to make the same mistake again, Uziel joked that he didn’t have any spare kidneys to donate.
