The first official shot from the sets of Harry Potter’s 20th anniversary special, Return to Hogwarts, was released by HBO Max, and it’s already Christmas time for Harry Potter lovers.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, who played Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ronald Weasley, respectively, in the film, revealed the first still from the highly-anticipated reunion on Thursday.
The original stars are all smiles as they sit together in the Gryffindor common room in the iconic photo.
Daniel, 32, wore a formal black suit for the reunion special, while Rupert, 33, wore a formal blue shirt with a pair of black slacks. Emma, on the other hand, wore a skirt and a white full-sleeved turtleneck sweater.
The new image was released shortly after HBO Max released a teaser for Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts on the internet. The premiere date for Harry Potter Return to Hogwarts is slated for January 1, 2022.
According to Variety, “The retrospective special will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time.”
