Two kids hospitalized after acid was served during a birthday party at The Poet Restaurant

Two kids have been admitted to the hospital after they were offered acid bottles at a birthday party in The Poet Restaurant located in greater Iqbal Park in Lahore.

The complainant stated in the FIR filed at the Lari Adda police station that the family had visited a restaurant inside Greater Iqbal Park on September 27 to commemorate their birthday.

The complainant said that after dinner, a customer washed his son’s hands in one of the water bottles the restaurant had provided.

According to Samaa TV’s report, the boy began to scream as soon as he poured water into his hand. Another kid drank water from the bottle at this time before passing out.

When the child woke up, he vomited, causing one of the family members who was watching after him to get blisters on his hand from the acid splash. The children have both been admitted to the hospital, according to the victim’s relatives.

The FIR states that Mohammad Adil and his family had gone to a restaurant for a birthday celebration. We requested water from the hotel employees, he noted in the FIR. My nephew Ahmed cleansed his hands when he brought the bottle.

He soon began crying after that. Due to the acid in the water bottle, we could see that his hands were burned. While this was going on, Mohammad Adil reported that his 2-year-old niece Wajiha began throwing up after drinking acid from a different water bottle.

Waziha’s health is critical at the hospital where both were taken in an ambulance. The restaurant manager, Mohammad Javed, has been taken into custody, according to the police in this case. Raids are being carried out to apprehend other staff. The business has been shuttered pending additional action.

His wife gave the child the half-empty bottle because it appeared to be water, according to the child’s father. It wasn’t until she started crying that we discovered their error. After bringing her to a nearby hospital, they were told to transfer her to a larger facility. When they got to Rainbow Children’s Hospital, she was immediately put on a ventilator.
