Twitter crowd roasts Iffat Omar for ‘lying after getting out of turn Covid vaccination’

ISLAMABAD – Social media activist and Pakistani actress Iffat Omar received severe backlash on social site Twitter after the former model posted a skeptical tweet and delete it later.

It all started with a viral clip on social media in which the family of federal minister Tariq Bashir Cheema can be seen receiving the Covid-19 vaccine. In that video Iffat Omar can also be seen getting vaccinated.

A number of Twitterati along with famous journalists called out Cheema and Iffat Omar for using their privilege to jump the queues and disrupt the system and then proudly brag about it on social media.

Iffat, who is known for being outspoken on social issues and her involvement in Ali Zafar harassment suit, came up with a tweet, in which in which the actress stated ‘I would like to clarify this was a booster shot of a Cansino (trial) vaccine received from UHS who also provided the previous shot. It’s not illegal or privilege.

Soon after the backlash, she deleted her tweet and came up with a news clip asking people to take it easy.

Here’s how Twitterati reacted on the matter.
