The First Female Deputy Commissioner Appointed in Balochistan – Ayesha Zehri

Ayesha Zehri is the first woman in Balochistan to hold the position of deputy commissioner for the Nasirabad district, according to the provincial government’s appointment of her.

Her coworkers, the provincial agencies, and the locals all expressed gratitude when they heard about her position. The appointment of the first female officer in the province as a deputy commissioner is an expression of faith in the talents of the women of the province stated Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo in his congratulations.

He continued by saying that women are a vital element of our culture. One of our government’s top focuses is to empower women and use their strengths. Mohammad Hussain was relieved of his duties and replaced by Ayesha Zehri. During a recent visit to the area, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded her for her valiant efforts to save people in flood-affected areas. The prime minister claimed to have met Assistant Commissioner Mach Ayesha Zehri and the authorities and personnel who were slavishly repairing public facilities following the floods, including laborers and officials. He also stated that you are all the nation’s heroes. You made me and the entire nation proud.

When the devastating floods washed away roads and bridges, leaving hundreds of people stranded and starving, she was always ready to lead from the front during her prior position as the assistant commissioner of the Mach area of Balochistan. 3,000 people were left trapped in the flood-ravaged hilly terrain on August 25 and 26, and Zehri and her team did everything they could to bring food and water to them. At the time, the rains had been falling heavily for 36 hours. Due to their difficulty in obtaining food and water on time, they avoided a catastrophe and the loss of lives.

She claims that although her team lacked the necessary equipment for the rescue effort, they were determined to save lives, and Allah gave them success. The people’s rescue took roughly 12 hours. According to her on August 25, the system as a whole collapsed owing to nonstop rain.

Roads were being washed away, bridges were collapsing, and cell phone networks were down. To save those who were stuck, Ayesha Zehri, her staff, and young volunteers ran a continuous 12-hour rescue effort. They quickly organized 11 shelter homes in public schools and procured supplies of food and milk for the little children.

Locals reported that because these folks had not eaten in two days, they were worried that the women and children may starve to death. The district has been negatively impacted by the rains, and the majority of the places are still under water, according to Ayesha Zehri, who was recently named the first female deputy commissioner of her native province. She claims that assisting the victims without discrimination and dispersing the aid transparently and expediently, are her top priorities.
