By climbing K2 and Everest at a young age, Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif established a Guinness World Record.
Shehroze, popularly referred to as Broad Boy, is 19 years old and has climbed two of the tallest mountains in the world, the 8,849-meter-tall Everest and the 8,611-meter-tall K2. Shehroze’s entry in the Guinness Book of World Records first appeared in 2021. “Alhamdulillah! I have been included in the Guinness Book of World Records 2023,” tweeted Shehroze.
Alhumdulilah! I have been published in the Guinness book of world records 2023!
My achievement of being the youngest in the world to climb the world's tallest peaks Everest and K2 has been recognized.

He said that being the youngest person to conquer Everest and K2 had been acknowledged as an accomplishment. I’d like to thank my family, friends, and #GWR #TheKarakoramclub. Shehroze became the youngest mountaineer to have ever reached the summit of all 10 summits above 8,000 meters when she ascended Gasherbrum-1, the eleventh-tallest peak in the world, in August of this year. Before climbing Nanga Parbat this year, Shehroze successfully ascended Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu in Nepal.
He and his companion Fazal Ali encountered difficulties this year when descending from Nanga Parbat, becoming separated due to bad weather and losing contact at one point. Despite this, both showed iron grit by surviving the night on the mountain and eventually arriving at Camp 1.

Shehroze said that he did not know where to go because there were no ropes laid down because they were descending the mountain after being rescued. They believed that this was the end of life and that they would never awaken. When he woke up the next morning, he thought it was a miracle. But Shehroze was undeterred by the experience, and he went back to the mountains immediately, climbing G-1 and G-2 over the course of five days.
