Shehroz becomes youngest mountaineer to summit three highest peaks of the world

Shehroz Kashif, a Pakistani mountaineer, after summiting Mount Kanchenjunga became the youngest person in history to summit the top 3 mountains of the world.

The world’s third tallest peak, Kanchenjunga, is a favourite destination for climbers visiting Nepal during the spring climbing season, which concludes this month. Kanchenjunga, according to climbers, is a tough mountain to ascend due to its remote location and avalanche risk.

Kashif, 20, announced on Twitter on 5th May, Thursday, at 3:05 p.m. that he had summited Kanchenjunga, moving closer to becoming the youngest person to scale all 14 of the world’s highest peaks.

“Youngest in the World! First ever Pakistani to raise Green Flag,” he tweeted.

Kashif, a Lahore native, began mountaineering at the age of 11 when he ascended a modest peak and subsequently progressed to greater heights.

Kashif also made history by becoming the youngest Pakistani to climb Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, in May.

The Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges, which span Nepal, Tibet, and Pakistan, contain the world’s 14 tallest peaks, all of which are above 8,000 metres.

The Alpine Club claimed in a statement that Kashif has just set two new world records. “Kanchenjunga summited by the world’s youngest mountaineer, Everest 8849m, K2 8611m, and Kanchenjunga 8586m are the three highest peaks in the world, and he is the world’s youngest mountaineer.”
