Saudi Arabia okays quarantine-free entry to Pakistanis

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia says it will allow travelers from Pakistan to directly enter the country from December 1, 2021, without the pre-condition of spending 14-day quarantine in a third country.

According to Saudi media, same orders will also be valid for the citizens of several other countries, including Egypt, Brazil, India, Indonesia, India and Vietnam.

Despite being generous to the travelers of these countries, the Saudi government has made it mandatory for the visitors to quarantine for five days in government-sanctioned residences upon arrival, irrespective of their coronavirus vaccination status.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi while confirming the news paid a vote of thanks to the Saudi Interior Ministry for this long-awaited step.

He said that this decision will be beneficial especially for those thousands of Pakistanis who have been waiting to return to Saudi Arabia.
