Sara, the First AI-Driven Robot That Speaks Arabic unveiled by Saudi Arabia

Sara, a robot that can converse in Arabic and its various dialects, perform well-known dances, and answer questions, is unveiled in Saudi Arabia.

On Tuesday, the Saudi state news agency SPA claimed that Sara had been receiving guests to the Kingdom’s Digital Pavilion at the LEAP23 conference in Riyadh. With the use of artificial intelligence, Sara’s built-in camera can detect when people are in front of the robot. When a visitor greets it with the words “Hello Sara,” it will begin a discussion. The pre-trained model in Sara is capable of identifying various regional accents from the Kingdom, deciphering the meaning of statements after analyzing them, and then sending the appropriate response as text.

This year’s LEAP, which runs from Monday, February 6 to Thursday, February 9, will include Sara as one of its highlights at the Riyadh Front Expo Center. A significant technology conference is being held this year for the second time, and exhibitors from Snap, Aramco, and Zoom are scheduled to participate. Oracle, a cloud computing company, pledged to invest $1.5 billion in Saudi Arabia at the start of the LEAP conference. In the Kingdom, which is attempting to modernize its economy, the event last year generated investments in technology of $6.4 billion. Over 720 speakers from 50 different nations will participate. John Lee, the leader of the Hong Kong special administrative area, is one of the additional exhibitors, along with Google, NEOM, MasterCard, and Ericsson.

The Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming and the Kingdom’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) collaborated to organize LEAP, which is expected to draw more than 100,000 attendees in total. Tahaluf is a strategic joint venture that is also owned by Informa PLC and the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming (SAFCSP). The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia furthered its game-changing status in the global data and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors with the launch of DeepFest, a brand-new co-located event organized in partnership with the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), on the fringes of LEAP23 (www.OneGiantLEAP.com), the most forward-thinking tech event in the world.

Through widespread adoption and ambitious pilot initiatives, Saudi Arabia is positioning itself at the forefront of developing technology. The Kingdom will grow into a hub connecting three continents, enabling it to realize its objectives on a global scale. As the Kingdom grows, it will become a hub connecting three continents, enabling its goals to be felt on a global scale. This goal is made explicit in LEAP.

An earthquake that promotes the adoption of technology and changes the economic landscape of Saudi Arabia. In conjunction with LEAP, the Kingdom will experience widespread acceptance of technology, a transition away from oil as the primary strategic economic resource, and will instead establish itself as a regional center for both established and cutting-edge technology.
