For their remarkable contributions to athletics and for showing a generation how one can attain excellence by overcoming all obstacles, several athletes have had biopics made about them. Even a few cricket players have had the good fortune to have biopics honoring their life and accomplishments on screen. Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and most recently Mithali Raj are on this list.
Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest bowler in the world and a former Pakistani cricketer, has revealed that “Rawalpindi Express,” his biopic, is currently under production. While sharing the news on his social media platforms, Akhtar also tweeted the movie’s motion poster. The starting point of this lovely journey. Rawalpindi Express – Running against the odds, my tale, my life, and my biopic, has launched. You’re about to embark on an unfamiliar journey. The first foreign movie was about a sportsman from Pakistan. Controversially yours, Shoaib Akhtar, Akhtar posted on Twitter.

Under the management of Qfilmproductions, Faraz Qaiser is directing the movie. On his social media accounts, Faraz added his two cents on this major announcement. A concept that first surfaced in 2016 has now materialized. My debut feature film’s poster is now available, the filmmaker posted on his Instagram story. The movie is scheduled to premiere on November 16, 2023. There are still more details to come.
Netizens took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Twitter user @Manisays56 tweeted that Tony Grieg’s famous words ‘The Rawalpindi Express has left the station that is for sure’ will always hold a special position in Pakistan cricket history. There are no adequate words to convey the thrill of seeing you bowl. Real match-winner, as well as a celebrity.

The excitement of watching you bowl can't be described in words.
Genuine match winner and a superstar.

As the game’s possibly fastest bowler, Shoaib Akhtar frightened many hitters in the late 1990s and early 2000s, knocking out players like Sourav Ganguly, Gary Kirsten, and Brian Lara with his frightening deliveries. From 1997 through 2011, he had a successful international career and was a force to be reckoned with.
He was prevented from receiving his due credit at the top level, nevertheless, by his tendency for injuries and both on- and off-the-field issues.
At the same time, his lightning-quick 161.3 km/h ball against England in a 2003 World Cup group encounter at Newlands continues to hold the record for the fastest delivery in international cricket history.
