Team of Pakistan’s current Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto, reportedly approached Columbia University students in New York, USA, to schedule a lecture which was turned down according to GVS.
Shandana Gulzar, a former MNA for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, tweeted about the event.
During his most recent journey to the United States of America, he was involved in an incident. According to reports, Bilawal Bhutto’s staff contacted Pakistani students at Columbia University in New York to arrange a lecture. The pupils turned down the offer. The team next approached the Pakistani students, who, according to reports, also refused.
“As a last resort, the team asked the general student body at Cornell NY to arrange a lecture. The general student body contacted the PK students and they convinced them to refuse as well.”

The team then reached out to Cornell University undergraduates in New York.
The student body then contacted Pakistani students, however, FM Bilawal Bhutto was unable to deliver a lecture due to scheduling conflicts.
The Pakistani consulate also attempted to set up a meeting with community leaders, businesses, and academics in Pakistan. Shandana Gulzar claimed in a tweet that everyone else, including party workers, had declined.
“In desperation, the consulate tried to arrange a meeting with 🇵🇰 leaders, business men, & academics (yours truly included). Other than PPP party workers, everyone else refused.” #ImportedGovernmentNaManzoor

During his tour, Bilawal Bhutto, on the other hand, met with US authorities. During his trip, he expressed his desire to restore relations with Washington. As he strives to mend strained ties with Washington, Pakistan’s new Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said he wants to move away from a single-issue transactional relationship.
During his first visit to the US as foreign minister, Bhutto-Zardari told reporters at the United Nations that the geopolitical context in our region, notably the events and circumstances in Afghanistan, had coloured our relationship with the US too much.

“We’d like to transition away from a transactional relationship, a one-point agenda relationship, and toward a more broad-based engagement with a particular emphasis on trade,” he said a day after meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
