Najam Sethi, the chairman of the management committee for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), slammed individuals who have been requesting free VIP passes for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), claiming that the majority of them can afford to purchase the tickets.
In response to a tweet, the PCB chief said that VIPs request free passes despite having the means to pay for them. He continued by saying that they can verify their VIP membership by using the free passes.
During @NawazSharifMNS time, reportedly not a single sifarish for jobs/tickets sent from PMO/Secretariat to PCB. In fact, PMO bought several hundred VIP tickets for MNAs etc. Todays, PCB besieged by freeloading Mins & SAPMs. Stay strong @najamsethi. Are you listening @CMShehbaz?

It should be noted that the eighth PSL season will begin in Multan on February 13. The final will take place in Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium, while the opening game will feature the defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans. In the years since he assumed the presidency of the PCB, Sethi has constantly warned people not to ask him for free PSL tickets or jobs for anyone who is not eligible.
The PCB chief asked his friends and prominent figures “NOT to ask for free tickets/passes to PSL matches starting next month” he said in a previous tweet on January 20. “The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the National Assembly, which audits PCB, has cautioned us to cease this behavior,” he continued.
1) I am making a personal request to all friends and high-ups NOT to ask for free tickets/passes to PSL matches starting next month. The Public Accounts Committee of National Assembly that audits PCB has warned us to desist from this practise!

Sethi likewise asked that no one approach him in regards to hiring an undeserving person or adding a player to the team. He stated in his writing: “Additionally, I am pleading with my friends and superiors not to engage in sifarish about the choice of any player, coach, etc., or to provide employment or assistance to anyone deserving of neither. PCB must be effective since it competes with the best professional associations on the planet.”
