Maryam Aurangzeb, Information minister, had conducted a press conference to address a twitter trend #امپورٹڈ_حکومت_نامنظور which is touching millions now. According to media, she addressed the wrong hashtag.
Ihtisham Ul Haq, a journalist, argued that Maryam’s press conference data was based on a fake trend.
He emphasised that she should bring real-time trend data. Fake trend was Introduced in order to tackle the real trend according to Ihtisham.
“The entire statistics for the press conference was based on false # trend. This # was invented in order to deal with the genuine #, Maryam Aurangzeb must publish data of the genuine Hashtag, and everyone will see how many bots there are.”

Marriyum Aurangzeb, a spokesman for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), now Info Minister, claimed that PTI was following a pattern of maligning state institutions, fabricating a narrative, and misleading Pakistanis.
Twitter identified PTI’s bot army and marked their fake trends as spam. PTI’s bots are still constantly spamming the digital space while making changes to the words and spreading misinformation. She said the patterns sparked hate speech and internet violence in a press conference on Monday. In a single day, 924 Twitter accounts started the trend, however only 709 of them were active. Out of 924 Twitter accounts, 532 were bots, according to a private news outlet.

Aurangzeb, on the other hand, said that the data she obtained from Twitter proved that 177 human accounts were being utilised, while only 33 original accounts existed.
